Canadian customers are welcome to contact me via email to enquire about paying by Interac e-transfer directly from their bank account.
ORDER PROCESSING: Just the Goods is a one person operation and I produce in small batches to provide the freshest product possible. Please allow an average of 5 – 7 business days to prepare your order for shipment. From time to time, especially during busy holiday periods, after a temporary lab closure, or if there has been an unexpectedly high volume of orders for any other reason, your order may exceed this time frame. If you need your order to arrive by a specific date, please let me know and I will do my best to work within your specified time frame — this may involve coordinating international overnight shipping via UPS instead of regular air mail service.
SHIPPING, CUSTOMS & DUTY: Just the Goods ships via Canada Post, USPS and (occasionally) UPS reflecting the real cost of postage; no handling fee is charged.
All orders within are shipped via Canada Post and include a tracking number. All orders to the US are shipped from the US via USPS and include a tracking number.
Parcels to other international destinations travel by air mail (2 - 3 weeks); if you desire tracking, please select this at checkout. International surface mail is no longer available.
Additional insurance, if required, is the responsibility of the buyer in the case of all carriers — please enquire for pricing. Just the Goods is not responsible for parcels lost by Canada Post, USPS, the postal agencies of other countries, or UPS.
Please note that international orders can take longer to reach their destination in a fashion wholly dependent on the speed at which international customs agents grant clearance as part of regular security and/or customs procedures. Please allow an average of 1 - 5 business days for delivery to the United States after shipping, and 2 – 3 weeks for delivery to other international destinations, or more for Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the surrounding area.
It is the responsibility of each international buyer to know the customs and shipping rules of their own country and all international buyers are solely responsible for any customs or duty charges that might be incurred to receive their product. Just the Goods is not responsible for the collection or payment of any destination charges, including duties, brokerage fees and taxes. All those charges are the responsibility of the buyer. Please do not ask that your parcel be marked as “gift” - this is illegal for commercial transactions. Orders returned due to the cost of local import taxes/duty will not be refunded.
Please make sure that your shipping address is correct. An incorrect address may cause delays in shipping. Any cost incurred due to incorrect shipping information will be charged to the buyer. If you have accidentally entered the wrong shipping address when placing an order, please get in touch right away.
RETURNS/EXCHANGES: Just the Goods cares about your satisfaction. If, for some reason, you are not pleased with your order, please contact me within 3 days of receipt of merchandise by email (email@example.com) and I’ll be happy to discuss an equitable solution. Please note that opened and/or used products are non-returnable. For your convenience, Just the Goods offers inexpensive samples of almost all available items, so I encourage customers to try them before committing to full-sized products if there is any concern about suitability, etc.
In the limited event that Just the Goods agrees to a return of items, please know that they must be returned to Just the Goods in Canada in excellent, re-saleable condition within 10 business days from the time they were received -- carefully wrap and pack all returns to prevent damage during return shipping. Just the Goods is not Amazon, Sephora, or any other large corporation able to absorb the cost of shipping. Just the Goods is therefore unable to refund the original cost of shipping and is not responsible for the cost of return shipping. All returns are subject to a $5.00 CAD restocking fee to compensate for the time spent retrieving a return from the post office, examining the returned items, and processing the refund + other relevant paperwork.
PRODUCT ACCURACY: Just the Goods attempts to be as accurate as possible when describing and representing products online via our website and/or Etsy. However, Just the Goods does not warrant that the product descriptions, images, colours or other content on our site is complete, accurate, reliable, and current or error free.
PRICING: Just the Goods strives to make natural skin care options as affordable as possible and thus offers pricing that benefits a wide range of customers. The lowest available price is obtained through direct purchase from Just the Goods — think of it as “factory direct”, “manufacturer pricing”, or “public wholesale”. For those who prefer Etsy, prices there are slightly higher to compensate for the cost of relevant service charges. Retail prices are established by re-sellers to recognize their time and overhead. Any and all prices, whether online or in-store, are subject to change without prior notice.
SALES TAX: Purchases within Canada are subject to 5% GST. An additional retail sales tax of 8% is payable on all transactions within Manitoba. International residents are solely responsible for any and all taxes, customs fees, and duty charges in their respective countries. Just the Goods will not refund products returned due to international customs fees owing.
PRODUCT SAFETY: Just the Good’s all natural skin care products have been tested extensively by me, my friends, and an array of regular clients but I ask that you still use the same precautions you would with any other new skin care product. Please read ingredient labels thoroughly if you have any allergy concerns or other types of sensitivity. If redness, rash or irritation occurs, immediately discontinue use of product and/or consult your physician.
Please note that some essential oils can be quite potent and that, even in small quantities, it is often recommended that they be avoided by children and during pregnancy, particularly during the first trimester. The same is likewise true if you are nursing, have heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, diabetes, or any other health conditions — please seek the medical advice of your health care professional before using Just the Goods products.
Just the Goods’ products are not medical in nature and have not been evaluated by Health Canada to treat, prevent, cure, or diagnose disease. You should not use any products or information communicated by Just the Goods for the diagnosis or treatment of any disease or medical condition(s). Once again, always seek the advice of a qualified, health care professional if you suspect you have a medical and/or dental condition of any kind.
Just the Goods products are not tested on animals. Just the Goods is certified cruelty-free by the Leaping Bunny Program and is an official partner of Humane Society International.
PRODUCT LONGEVITY: Just the Goods uses fresh, natural ingredients without the use of artificial preservatives. Due to the nature of these ingredients, it is recommended that products be used within 4 – 6 months of receipt, even though some products may last considerably longer. To protect the quality of your purchase and prevent premature deterioration, always store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and fluctuating humidity (i.e. steamy showers). To avoid accidental contamination, do not mix Just the Goods products with tap water or contact them with unwashed hands as to do so may contribute to bacterial growth. Seal containers tightly between use.
Under ideal conditions…
- massage oil and sugar/salt body scrubs last up to 4 months
- hand/body lotion and facial moisturizer lasts 4 – 6 months
- toothpaste, moisturizing face wash, eye make up remover, foot scrub, hair conditioner can last between 8 – 9 months
- toner, body butter, shampoo, body wash, and deodorant last approximately 1 year
- shaving solids last approximately 2 years
However, I still emphasize 4 – 6 months as an average just to be on the safe side as it ultimately depends on how products are handled and stored. With all that stated, please keep in mind that when used as recommended, the products are expected to run out before their average expiration (i.e. face wash once daily, toner once or twice daily, facial moisturizer twice daily, etc.). If you’d like to buy extra stock to save on shipping, which is always a great idea, I recommend storing unopened products in your refrigerator, particularly hand/body lotion and/or facial moisturizer.

PRIVATE LABEL ENQUIRIES: Just the Goods regrets that it is not open to working with other skin care and cosmetics brands at this time.
NON-PROFIT ENQUIRIES: Just the Goods privately supports a number of Winnipeg-based grassroots organizations committed to decolonization, furthering human rights, environmental protection, and increased access to the arts. As such, Just the Goods is unable to extend this support beyond this immediate geographical region. I am unable to make contributions to wedding socials or other for-profit events.
