Just the Goods’ moisturizing face wash for dry skin begins with gentle organic castile soap plus kaolin clay to absorb impurities, rose water to firm and tone, and a blend of essential oils to gently clean while just the right amount of shea butter moisturizes without clogging pores. This product is available with or without exfoliating beads made from biodegradable jojoba wax.

This product can be used on its own, but following with an appropriate toner and moisturizer is recommended. Please see below for additional notes about this product and its suitability for different skin types.

Directions:

This product is made with castile soap and is designed to be applied to the face in the same way that soap would be used on any other part of the body. Avoid eyes. Rinse well. Please note: Aluminum is thin and runs the risk of being dented either when shipped from the distributor to me, in the lab during production, or during shipping as a finished product. A dent in aluminum packaging is - at most - an aesthetic inconvenience in that it does not affect the quality or function of the product inside. The same is true for a beverage container - a dent that has not contributed to a leak does not impact the the product, which can still be consumed and enjoyed. Additional Product Tips:

1) Those switching from a petroleum-based product may find that it takes a few days for skin to become accustomed to the gentle clean of natural Castile soap combined with shea butter. There may be a feeling of residue left behind after washing. This will eventually stop as skin adjusts and stops over producing natural oils to compensate for what is usually removed. 2) If you typically have normal/sensitive skin but find that it is dry at certain times of year due to climate, you may have better results using toner and/or moisturizer for dry skin while still using face wash for normal/sensitive skin as face wash for dry skin can potentially be too rich for your skin type. Face wash for dry skin is primarily intended for folks with consistent dryness at all times of year, often due to genetics and/or medical conditions, not temporary changes in weather.

3) Just the Goods is about using the least amount of ingredients to achieve a clean, effective formula -- "just the goods", and nothing extra. Adding emulsifiers, even plant based ones, increases cost (raw materials + labour) as well as potential allergens or toxicity (i.e. xanthan gum is made from corn, most lecithin is made from soy, emulsifiers made from seaweed such as carageenan can contain trace amounts of heavy metals and/or cause redness and inflammation). If you are having trouble tipping the bottle only slightly to pour the desired amount of product into your hands, I offer a range of re-usable bottle tops to maintain a low price point for each product and to reduce landfill waste as those items can not be recycled: https://justthegoods.net/collections/accessories.
