Order processing

Just the Goods is an intentionally small-scale operation -- I produce in small batches to provide the freshest product possible, and my assistant is largely responsible for packing and shipping all orders. Please allow an average of 5 – 10 business days for us to prepare your order for shipment. From time to time, especially during busy holiday periods, after a temporary lab closure, or if there has been an unexpectedly high volume of orders for any other reason (i.e. during a global pandemic), your order may exceed this time frame. If you need your order to arrive by a specific date, please let me know before placing your order, and I will do my best to work within your specified time frame — this may involve recommending international overnight shipping via UPS instead of regular mail service.

Shipping, customs, and duty

Just the Goods ships via Canada Post, USPS, UPS, FedEx and Asendia reflecting the real cost of shipping. No handling fee is charged.

By default, all orders within Canada are shipped via Canada Post and include a tracking number. All orders to the US are shipped from the US via USPS as domestic mail and include a tracking number. Parcels to other international destinations travel via the service level selected at checkout. Untracked international surface mail is no longer available.

Just the Goods is not responsible for parcels lost by Canada Post, USPS, the postal agencies of other countries, UPS or FedEx and therefore only provides refunds or re-shipment in cases where the shipping carrier's insurance program successfully awards a claim as per their fraud prevention policies.

Please note that international orders can take longer to reach their destination in a fashion wholly dependent on the speed at which international customs agents grant clearance as part of regular security and/or customs procedures.

Please allow an average of 1 - 5 business days for delivery to the United States after shipping, and 2 – 3 weeks for delivery to other international destinations, or longer for Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the surrounding area.

It is the responsibility of each international buyer to know the customs and shipping rules of their own country and all international buyers are solely responsible for any customs or duty charges that might be incurred to receive their product. Just the Goods is not responsible for the collection or payment of any destination charges, including duties, brokerage fees and taxes. All those charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

Please do not ask that your parcel be marked as “gift” - this is illegal for commercial transactions.

Orders returned due to the cost of local import taxes/duty will not be refunded.

Please ensure your shipping address is correct and that your name is presented in a fashion that allows you to retrieve your parcel from your local post office, if needed. Failure to provide an identifiable name may prevent delivery at the discretion of customs and/or postal agents.

Further regarding addresses, Just the Goods can only ship to the address provided, and can not be responsible for any typographical errors including incorrect/incomplete zip codes, or missing apartment/unit/floor numbers, etc. An incorrect address may cause delays in shipping or parcel returns.

Undeliverable USPS orders are directed to JTG's international shipping partner in North Dakota and do not constitute return to Just the Goods in Canada. Costs associated with incorrect shipping information is the responsibility of the buyer -- this includes new e-postage and the service fee charged by the international shipping centre in North Dakota.

If you have accidentally entered the wrong shipping address when placing an order, please get in touch within 24 hours of your purchase so we can make a change on your behalf before your parcel is packed for shipping. Thank you!
